For Christopher's Birthday we went up to Hollywell, in Jamaica's one and only National Park. We stayed at a little bed and breakfast called the Gap Cafe and had breakfast out on the deck <-- (Doesn't this picture just scream "Kisses, Buffy, kisses!")
Several hummingbird feeders were hung around the deck, and Christopher took approximately 200 hundred pictures of national bird of Jamaica, the Doctor Bird (pictures soon to follow). I took a couple of a fine red-headed woodpecker.
Below is a picture of our lodging taken from one of our hikes up the mountain.
In the afternoon, we hiked out to a waterfall, only to discover that the entire sky had become an immense (if temporary) waterfall itself. Luckily the hike back was mostly uphill, so we didn't catch cold.

happy birthday christopher! (ok - i know i'm a couple days late-but i didn't forget you- it's just very hectic here beautiful pictures, entertaining commentary- it almost makes up for the fact that you guys are so far away!!!!! i still haven't sent your christmas gifts, so ther will be a little extra something for christopher when i finally make to the post! love you guys, miss you , i'm very excited about your baby!! love, mom
